life in logan has been good since i've returned from break.

I went to Talia's house for a peruvian dinner one night and we ended up playing "Just Dance-Wii"

For MLK day, my roommates and I made it a fun day.
Shopping, Soup and Salad special at Olive Garden, hot tubbing. greatness.
notice the lack of coats.

Aggie Basketball is back with full force.
I love the spectrum, we are one rowdy crowd i tell ya that!
this is my type of team....

love these girls. awesome roommates, even better friends.

it's been good here. School is challenging, yet doable.
the weather has been WONDERFUL (knock on wood)
and in 2 months my sister gets home.

can't get much better than that!

today at the gym i saw an anorexic girl.

it made me terribly sad because she didn't look good.
and she didn't realize it.

her thighs were the size of my calf,
shoulders the size of my wrists
and a super concave stomach.
and there she was, doing ab exercises and leg lifts.
sorry hun, but you don't need anymore of those.

I just wanted to help her, but what could i do.
ask her if she's been to therapy?
don't think so.
give her food to eat.
didn't have any with me.
asked her name?
could have done that and wish i would have.
maybe all she needs is a friend to help her with her problem.

So, this is for you anorexic girl.
next time i see you, i will ask your name.
we will become friends,
and you will overcome this disease that is killing you.

until then, go eat some ice cream.

A year ago today I started on one of the best things life has given me.
My Peruvian Adventure.
Today I am feeling a little sad that I'm not doing the same thing again.
I really feel like during that time I grew so much as a person.
I mean, I was thrown into this random country,
worked at a hospital,
and didn't know spanish.
It was great.
I loved every second figuring things out.

People always ask me:
"Oh, how was Peru?"
I usually respond. "Amazing, I'd go back any second!" (understatment)
"Really, you would?"
"oh yeah, definitely."

I really truly loved everything about Peru to the people, the food, the culture,
the language, the history, the honking taxi's, and the high altitude.

Today is a tribute to Peru. Talia and I are going to her families to eat dinner.
Lomo Saltado. Famous Peruvian Meal.
I'm going to look at all my Peruvian pictures, once or twice.
I'm going to look back at my journal.
and mostly, going to be grateful for this experience that still means so much to my heart.

Gracias Peru. para todos. nos vemos.
