what will 2011 bring?

i'm home.
let christmas begin.

Im free. done with finals. done with the semester.
the hard work paid off.
and i don't know what to do with myself...so i'm blogging.
christmas break. begins today.
hip-hip-horray.

my friend in spain (brooke) sent me an email today with some final week tips.
thought i'd share them:

-eat good foods. not junk food.
-get lots of rest.
-watch funny youtube videos (or have just great conversations)
that will make you laugh after long hours of study
-get a free pb&j from the institute :)
-trail. mix.
-set your alarm
-buy scantrons ahead of time
-pretend that you're deaf next time a guy tries hitting on you
(hahah ok this might be a bad idea)
-positive energy
-just remember in the end that it is not the end of the world.
you have tried your best. you are a great student.
you will be home with you FAMILY in sunny AZ in less than 5 days!!

finals week fall 2010. bring it.

even though finals are taking over my life, I'm not letting them.
I'm trying not to get stressed out about them.
I do worse when I'm stressed so right now, I'm care free.
This weekend was: The Annual Christmas Sweater Party.


classic fun.

i just walked around the library.
i love the USU library.
it's great.
has lots of... character.
it's a place where i can go and be social, or actually study.
this time of year it cracks me up.
of course you see the "regulars" in it all the time (like me)
but come the week before finals, it's packed with people.
it's hilarious to me that all semester i can find a study room or table,
and today i can't.
people cramming, stressed, anxious, looks of confusion on their faces
tables filled with food for weeks, people conked out on couches, snoring.
and here i am chuckling.
i should be like them.
i mean, i do have finals this next week.
but I'm a regular. I'm ALWAYS here.
shouldn't i have priority over the people who never come here?

i went roller-skating at a rink. SO fun.
definitely gonna go again.

i got home today from a package from mom.
she is the best mom around.
always knows just what a i need.
a thoughtful note, sweatshirt, candy, decor, and love.
thanks mom.

i just texted my dad today....

Nat: "GUESS WHAT?"
Dad: "What?"
Nat: "Your favorite aggie daughter comes home tomorrow!"
Dad: "By yourself or with squeeze?"
Nat: "solo"

however, I should have said, both of us....

home+4 days= hallelujah.

This week I have been finding more and more what I am grateful for.
I don't know if it's Thanksgiving that has got me thinking
or maybe I am really growing up?
Could it be? nope, probably just thanksgiving.
I would say that the thing I'm most grateful for is my family.
They are truly great, I could not ask for a more caring, loving, accepting family.
I look up to every single one of them.
They're all wonderful.
So thanks family, glad to be part of the herd.





and of course, the ones who taught us, encouraged us, and molded us
into what we are today, and willingly continue to do so...

where can i find someone like you?

here's the thing, every year, i find myself saying, "I don't like halloween."
I don't know why, i just don't like it that much.
Every year, I decide on one costume and then change it last minute.
This year was different. I had some fun festivities for Halloween.

Roommate Halloween Party:

I told myself last year, "I'm not going to the Howl next year."
but, i went.
and it was SO fun. I'm glad I did. I would've missed out.

I'm so glad i went. i had a blast dancing, seeing friends, and enjoying company!

Today, I wish I had nieces and nephews to go trick or treating with.
Instead i guess i'll just lounge around in these puppies for the 6th year...
