I have written this in Spanish and English. Spanish is first, then English. It´s the same either way, just practicing what I am learning! Enjoy!

Ahora en Ingles.

Last weekend Talia and I went to Puno/Lake Titicaca! It was 6 1/2 hours by bus. Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable lake in the whole world! Very pretty! On Monday we took an all day boat tour and stopped at 2 islands. First was the floating Island of Uros. (literally floating) It was very interesting to see where and how other people live!

After Uros Island we went to Tequilla Island. A natural island. Here, we ate lunch, I had fish! and looked at the lake from the top of the island. The lake is like the ocean, SO big, but no waves. The tour was way fun and the people were nice and from all parts of the world!

After the tour and a little sunburnt, Talia and I went to dinner and dessert and walked around the city until 9:30pm when we returned to Cusco by bus! We arrived Cusco at 4:00 in the morning and slept until 9:40 and rested all day! Our little vacation was very fun!

This week was good. I am learning a little more spanish each day and feel more and more part of Yoni´s family daily!

Yesterday was Yoni's birthday! To celebrate que had a HUGE lunch with all the family. Talia and I gave her a scarf. Very pretty. It was purple. :)

The Sacred Valley

So, on Thursday Talia and I took a day trip to ¨The Sacred Valley.¨
Basically it´s 3 different cities we stopped at that have Incan Ruins.
Each place we stopped at got more and more beautiful. I don´t think it
was necessarily the Incan Ruins that made it beautiful, but the
surroundings. We were usually on top of a mountain looking down around
little towns. I am still in awe of how people back then thought
through things. Most of the places we stopped at were agricultural,
and the Incans would build like tiers on the side of the mountain and
would plant all different crops in order of when and where the sun
would hit it! It´s truly amazing what these people did, without the
technology they had! It was an all day adventure. We left Cusco about
8:30 and arrived back at 8:15. Lots of riding on the bus but it was
worth it for what we saw!

here are some pics! I took tons but it takes a while for them to load, so this is all you are getting today! Enjoy!
