As many of you know, Quincy, left today on her mission!
She was able to come a day early and stay with me before she left.
It was SO great seeing her and she is so ready to leave and serve the Lord.

Last night we had Q go around and make predictions on what's gonna be going on in our lives in 18 months. This is what my prediction was:

***Natalie: Degree, with nutrition minor. She’ll take an internship at a childhood obesity camp in Bora Bora and work with celebrities’ children. After which she’ll enjoy a nomadic lifestyle and travel to exotic islands. Eventually her mom will nag her to come back home. She’ll decide to live in Sacramento, with a great YSA ward that contains mature well-developed fit men who kayak in San Fran bay. Nat will have lots of options for her life.***

honestly, I wouldn't complain about that life one bit! sign me up!

I was SO happy to be able to take Quincy to the MTC and am so grateful for her example to me and will be eternally grateful for our friendship that has lasted about 20 years and I have a feeling its not stopping anytime soon or ever.

I am so over her fame and stardom.
why?
do you even know who it is... Lady Gaga.
that is how she looked at the VMA awards.
she was acting like a drunk fool.
kids look up to her? seriously.
sure she's made a name for herself, but personally...

i'd rather see and listen to this all day long.
oh adele.
thanks for being a hit.
thanks for receiving a standing ovation at the VMA's.
thanks for your real talent.
thanks for dressing normal.
thanks for caring about music and the goodness it brings.
just one thing...
how about you stop smoking so I can listen to you my whole life.
kapeesh?

sincerly,
a fan concerned about your lungs.

One week from today my bestie, Quincy, will be going on a LDS mission.
She is going to Sao Paulo and those people will love her as much as I do.
Q and I have been through lots... ever since we were 2.

Boa Sorte! Eu te amo, Quincy.

Last night I happened upon "Keeping up with the Kardashians" (tv show)
My family has some inside jokes about this show.
Last night however, I was SHOCKED at the similarities of our families.
it was scary. basically, they just need to film my family.
now, I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing...
but nonetheless, humorous.

I always thought I was a "cool" runner.
meaning, when I go on jogs, I go when it's cool outside.

but....
I thoroughly enjoyed my run outside at 2:30 this afternoon.

bring on the afternoon heat.

I have a bed feddish.
It's bad. but it's getting better.
Yesterday my roommate borrowed my pillow and i didn't even care.
I let someone else take a little nap on my bed the other week.
WHO AM I?
Who knows, I guess I'm getting older and more mature.

However, this doesn't mean that anyone can prance into my bed.
So, don't send them my way quite yet.

please enjoy the most awkward photo ever taken.

so now that you've looked at it.... go back and note:
1. both married couples- no physical contact
2. only one is smiling
3. my toothpick body shape
4. v-shape pose
5. the strangely color coordinated outfits
6. what is my hair doing??
7. the fact that i have no arms
8. i was 16, living in China.

please take a good chuckle at it. I sure did.

***feel free to point out any other awkward things. there are plenty.

When I first decided to transfer to BYU, I was nervous.
I thought it'd be super hard to figure out classes, housing, work, ect.

After talking to about 5 BYU staff members,
I FINALLY made it through to the guy who helped me the most.

He talked me through ways to transfer credits.
ALL transfered. How lucky am I?
That is basically unheard when transferring to BYU.
I also needed to sign up for classes.
I have miraculously gotten into SO many classes I just need.
In the perfect time slots.

Next was housing.
My bff Quincy needed to sell her contract because she's going on a mission.
I just happened to need a contract.
It was so simple.
Even though she won't be here, it's nice to have a place with familiar faces.

Work.
Now this has been a little frustrating.
I wanted to start working in June. but haven't.
I couldn't find a job. but now I know why.
I have somehow managed to land my dream job.
drum roll please......
BYU physical therapy tech.
I could not be more excited!!
BYU, good hours, good pay, work with students and staff.
hellooooo. it's perfect.
Even though I haven't worked ALL summer.
I guess I just needed to be here to interview and be available to the therapist.

Sometimes it pays to follow your heart.

happy weekend everybody.
