this day has been wonderful.

found out great news, the sun is now shining, having another nephew, and girls night tonight.

the only thing that could make it better is if this guy suddenly showed up...

Last night my roommates threw a little bachelorette party for my roommate Kayde (bride-to-be)

we went out to Firehouse pizza and got the biggest pizza EVER. really huge.
but delicious. 4 different kinds. all on the same plate.

kayde, babbit, and talia

lori,madison, and I

after pizza we came back to my house for some treats and presents.
the leveled table, thanks mom for teaching me.

some of kaydes gifts.

talia and me

the party planner. LORI.

madison, tal, and me

the roommmates trying to hold up kayde. we almost dropped her.
don't know why, she's so tiny. laughter I guess.

finally a normal roommate picture. minus 4.

these girls will be missed. i just love them.

i admit it. I miss real singing.
the kind when you warm up, sing chromatic scales, find the key from middle C.
when you hit the harmony that resonates around the room.
practicing forever and the feeling you get when you know you nailed it.
The high notes you hit you never thought you could.
rhythm that was so hard, yet so fun to figure out.
melody that would carry the song along.
yup. i really do.

if this isn't pure joy, what is??

i woke up this morning to this....

it didn't make me happy.
i don't think people get having dishes like that is 100% disgusting.
I'm sick of doing my roommates dishes, but because I hate looking at them...
I will do them.
You may be thinking, "why don't you ask them to do them?"
the answer is, because I have.
I've written notes, sent texts, asked in person.
it lasts for about 3 days, and then back to the habits.
I'm like the mother. just picking up after my kids.

All I know is that when I have children, they will learn HOW to clean.
Saturday chores will be a weekly occurrence.
Cleaning the kitchen while my hubby and I take walks, will happen.
vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing, and sweeping will be imbedded in their brains.
I had to do it, i hated it at the time, but it's paid off. So,

Thank you Mom for teaching me to clean.
You might not think I appreciated it... but trust me.
I HAVE. And DO.

*this is not a bash on the roommates, i love them. it's just the dishes i hate*
